Role
Play Therapy Base was founded in 2011 by four play therapists who identified a gap in child-centred play therapy provision in Midlothian. For 15 years we have supported children aged 3 to 14 and their families across the Lothians.
We are now entering the next stage of our development, with a restructure of our senior team. This has created an exciting opportunity for a qualified and experienced Play Therapist to join our team of 15 as Service Manager.
About the role
As Service Manager, you will lead the delivery of our therapy services, working closely with children, parents, carers, staff, and partner organisations. You will make sure our child-centred ethos and high standards of practice run through everything we do and help promote the service across the communities we support.
About you
We are looking for someone who has:
- A professionally accredited Play Therapy qualification with BAPT/ PTUK or equivalent
- Registration with BAPT / PTUK or similar
- Substantial post-qualification experience as a Play Therapist
- Experience of managing and supporting a team
- A real passion for play therapy and a strong commitment to helping children and families grow and flourish together
