Assistant Grants Manager
The Gannochy Trust
Full time
On site: Perth
£40,000 - £46,000
35 hours a week
Closing 2 October 2026
Advertised from 8 September 2026

Role

We are looking for an exceptional person to join The Gannochy Trust, a registered charity well known for its philanthropy and unique housing provision. Highly motivated, with excellent analytical, administrative and organisational skills, you will be committed to the values and broader aims of the Trust, and making a difference to people’s lives.

The Gannochy Trust was founded in 1937 by A K Bell. Our work today has been developed to support the full realisation of our founder’s visionary philanthropy. We provide affordable housing, manage a range of farms, woodlands and buildings and as an independent funder, manage a grant giving programme of around £4.5 million annually. The work of the Trust is both varied and interesting.

For this role, you will ideally have experience working in grant making or fundraising and/or be able to demonstrate a good understanding of the third sector in Perth and Kinross in particular, with a strong background of process management and administrative delivery. You will work closely to support the Grants Manager to deliver the Trust’s grant making processes and contribute to the review and development of the Grants Strategy. A key part of the role will be providing support to applicants and grantees, contributing to assessment of applications and processing decisions.

In return, we offer excellent terms and conditions including a generous pension scheme and health related benefits, as well as training and learning opportunities. You will be a key contributor to the work of the Trust, supporting the delivery of our strategic and operational plans. This post will be predominately office based with flexible working arrangements available subject to operational requirements.
