Role

Connect Community Trust is a community-led charity supporting people across Greater Easterhouse. We provide practical, accessible services that help local people improve their financial wellbeing, employment opportunities, digital skills and overall quality of life.  We are now looking for a motivated and well-organised Energy Adviser to join our team.

The Energy Adviser will support local people who are experiencing fuel poverty. The role will provide confidential and impartial advice, helping people understand their options, reduce their energy costs, manage their household budgets and access any financial support they may be entitled to. Where appropriate, clients will also be connected to our wider support, including Connect’s Welfare Rights team.

You will manage your own caseload, maintain accurate client records and contribute to monitoring information and reports for the project’s funders. You will also help promote the service locally, build strong referral pathways and work closely with community organisations, housing providers and our other partners.

We are looking for someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who is supportive, approachable and committed to helping people. You should be able to work independently while also contributing positively as part of the wider Connect Community Trust team.

The successful applicant should be well organised and confident using Microsoft Office and Advice Pro, however training will be offered.

This is an excellent opportunity to join the team at Connect Community Trust and make a genuine difference to people who are struggling with energy costs and financial hardship.

Application notes

Please send your CV and a covering letter to jhay@connect-ct.org.uk

The closing date for applications is 25th of September 2026 with interviews being held on the 6th and 7th of October 2026.
