14 hrs per week, with probationary period. Accommodation included. The salary will be payable at a rate of £13.45 per hour less housing allowance of £77.70 per week. This provides a net salary of £107.60 per week, payable in arrears per calendar month

Background to the Post

Maryhill Ruchill Parish is a busy church serving a large parish in the North West of Glasgow. We have a small but really well used and well maintained building and we work in partnership to deliver activities to support the people of this most wonderful and challenging part of Glasgow. The last few years has seen considerable change for us, as we have emerged from the pandemic and took on a union. What we need for the next chapter in our story is stability, and this post will be vital to us achieving that.  

Purpose of the Post

The Church Officer will work as part of a staff team to ensure the smooth running of activities on site, to provide a warm welcome and safe environment for all. Working primarily to,

  • Prepare for all activities in the building 
  • Open up and manage key holders 
  • Monitor the condition of the building 
  • Keep the premises clean and tidy.

The post holder will be responsible to the Parish Minister, Maryhill Ruchill Parish Church (Line Manager).
