Aberdeen Carers Support Service provides support to improve the quality of life and wellbeing of unpaid carers of all ages.

We have an exciting opportunity to recruit a Family Wellbeing Worker.

Your new opportunity

The successful candidate will be required to:

Identify and coordinate support for unpaid carers in Aberdeen by developing Adult Carer Support Plans that promote wellbeing and help carers balance their caring responsibilities with a life of their own.

The successful applicant will be a highly organised and self-motivated individual with the ability to plan and prioritise their own workload.

37 hours per week

£28,167 per annum

Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm with possible evening and weekend work.

What you’ll bring

  • Reliability, flexibility and a positive attitude
  • Experience in Microsoft packages, Word, Excel etc. is essential
  • Ability to build trusting relationships
  • Empathy and excellent communication skills 
  • Excellent team player
  • Ability to apply transferable life experience and skills to support and enable individuals.
  • Knowledge of unpaid carers and relevant legislation
  • Supporting/Supervising volunteer, apprentices or students may be required
