Are you ready for a new adventure and a meaningful role aligned with the Iona Community’s vision? Working at Iona Abbey offers the chance to live on a remote Scottish island, surrounded by beauty and community.  

The Iona Community is seeking a creative and organised Programme Coordinator to join our Abbey team on the Isle of Iona for the 2026 season.  

The Programme Coordinator will plan and deliver weekly programme sessions that both encourage and challenge, exploring themes of justice, peace, faith and community. Working closely with colleagues, volunteers and visiting programme leaders, you’ll create spaces where reflection leads to action, and where people are inspired to carry what they’ve learned into the wider world.  

The Iona Community is an international, ecumenical Christian movement working for peace and justice, the rebuilding of community and the renewal of worship. Living and working on Iona is more than a job; it’s a shared way of life rooted in hope, faith and hospitality. 

This post contains an element of regulated work and as such is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and the post-holder will need to be or to become a member of Scotland’s Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme, prior to taking up the post.

Due to the nature of this work, it will NOT be possible to consider candidates who do not already have the right to work in the United Kingdom.
