Supporter Led Fundraising Officer

Edinburgh Dog & Cat Home
Full time
On site: Edinburgh
£25,000 - £28,000
35 hours per week.
Closing 5 August 2025
Advertised from 22 July 2025

Role

The Home has been a safe haven to stray animals since 1883, and still rescues over a thousand lost or abandoned dogs and cats every year. The Home benefits from skills and experience of our 50+ strong staff, comprised of long-serving kennel and cattery experts and enthusiastic new talent. Our small team is united by the love and dedication towards the animals in our care, and the belief that any dog or cat that comes to our door, whatever the reason, should be safe, warm, and well-fed.

We are looking for someone who loves dogs and cats and is passionate about helping animals and their people. We are open to candidates without direct fundraising experience, but you need to be a confident and friendly communicator who can be reactive to incoming enquiries and plan ahead. Training will be provided and tailored to the needs of the successful candidate.

For supporter-led fundraising and mass participation you will be focusing on providing information and support to fundraisers to ensure they have a positive experience, to encourage retention of supporters and to maximise income. Supporter-led fundraising and mass participation are both growth areas for the Home and have seen positive performance so far this year. There is the opportunity to develop and improve systems and processes for stewardship. You will also work closely with the Digital Fundraising Officer who focuses on acquisition and recruitment for mass participation.

If you're passionate about the welfare of dogs and cats, excel in collaborative environments, and bring a positive attitude to every task, we want you on our team. Join us in providing exceptional care to our furry companions and making a real difference in their lives. With growth opportunities and a supportive culture, we're seeking individuals willing to work hard, embrace challenges, and contribute to our goals.
