Role

Organisation profile: 

ABWA provides information, emotional/practical support, refuge accommodation and accommodation advice to all women, their children and young people who are experiencing domestic abuse from their current or ex- partner. 

Main Job Purpose

ABWA is seeking to recruit an experienced Crisis Support Worker. 

Reporting to the Team Leader, the role of the Crisis Support Worker is to provide support and information to women and agencies who contact ABWA through our helpline, emails, and referrals. 

The Crisis Support Worker will work closely with the Team Leader to ensure referrals are allocated to the appropriate part of ABWA’s service. 

Candidates need to have experience of delivering crisis support, demonstrate a gender based analysis of domestic abuse, be motivated, an ability to work under pressure and must have a qualification suitable for SSSC Housing Support registration.
