Remote: Home based

Closing 30 September 2026

Role

Relationships Scotland Borders (RS Borders) is a friendly, values-led charity supporting individuals, couples, children and families across the Scottish Borders.

As part of the Relationships Scotland network, we provide counselling, Sexual Relationship Therapy, family mediation and child contact services.

We believe that positive relationships can make a real difference to people’s lives and our aim is to provide safe, compassionate and professional support that helps people feel heard, strengthen their relationships and move forward.

This is a home-based role and our counsellors can work remotely from anywhere in Scotland.

Could this be the role for you?

Are you a qualified counsellor looking for flexibility, variety and the chance to make a real difference?

Would you enjoy working with individuals and/or couples, from the comfort of your own home?

Relationships Scotland Borders is looking for qualified, compassionate and enthusiastic counsellors to join our growing team.

Whether your training is in individual counselling, couples counselling, Sexual Relationship Therapy (SRT), or all three, we’d love to hear from you.

You’ll work remotely from home, with all client sessions delivered online, giving you the flexibility to build your caseload around your availability.

Your clients may be seeking support with relationships, personal wellbeing, life changes, separation, intimacy or other challenges, so no two days are quite the same.

You’ll have the freedom of working independently as a self-employed practitioner, while being part of a supportive professional team.

We provide referrals, professional support and a varied caseload, and contribute up to £120 per year towards CPD to support your ongoing development.

Could you bring warmth, empathy and professional expertise to our clients?

Are you passionate about helping people build healthier relationships and move forward with confidence?

Would the flexibility of working from home with online clients work for you?

If the answer is yes, we’d love to hear from you.
