Role

Help people feel heard, understood and more confident in managing their mental health

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Practitioner to join our Hearing Voices Early Intervention and Self-Management Service in Fife.

You’ll support people who experience psychosis, voices, intrusive thoughts or sensory disturbances, helping them build confidence, develop practical coping strategies and work towards goals that matter to them.

Alongside direct 1:1, outreach and group support, you’ll be an experienced point of contact for colleagues, providing day-to-day guidance, supervision and support when situations are more complex.

This is a hands-on senior role rather than overall service management, so you’ll remain closely involved in supporting people while helping the wider team deliver high-quality, person-centred support.

What you’ll bring

• Experience supporting people within mental health, community or recovery-focused services.

• Experience delivering structured 1:1 support and contributing to personal support plans.

• Strong communication, relationship-building and professional judgement.

• An understanding of risk, safeguarding and safe decision-making.

• A trauma-informed, person-centred and strengths-based approach.

• An SVQ Level 3 in Social Services and Healthcare (Adults), equivalent qualification, or willingness to work towards one if required.

• SSSC registration, or willingness to register within six months.

Experience supporting or supervising colleagues, facilitating groups, or working within a registered service would be particularly welcome.

About us

Change Mental Health is a national mental health charity supporting people across Scotland.

Our Fife services provide practical, non-clinical support that helps people improve their wellbeing, build resilience and feel more connected to their communities.

If you’re an experienced practitioner looking to take on more responsibility while staying close to frontline support, we’d love to hear from you.
