Scottish Refugee Council is Scotland’s national charity working to support refugees to build new lives in Scotland. We are looking for a passionate and innovative Employment Development Officer to lead the development and delivery of our employability work with refugees and people seeking asylum across Scotland.

Employment is a key part of successfully rebuilding a life in a new country. In this role, you will work directly with New Scots, employers, education providers, public bodies and third-sector partners to improve access to employment, education, training and career development opportunities.

You will develop and deliver employability projects, build strong partnerships with employers and stakeholders, influence inclusive recruitment practices, and create learning resources and training that help remove barriers for refugees entering the workforce.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who combines strategic thinking with practical delivery and who is committed to promoting equality, inclusion and respect.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a difference to the lives of refugees and people seeking asylum across Scotland. You will join a dedicated organisation committed to creating lasting change, while working alongside passionate colleagues and partners who share a commitment to inclusion, respect, dignity and social justice.

By joining Scottish Refugee Council, you’ll play a key role in helping New Scots access opportunities, fulfil their potential and contribute their skills and talents to communities across Scotland.
