The SCVO events and learning programme welcomes more than 5,000 individuals each year and this is your chance to be at the heart of making it happen.
About the role
We’re recruiting to bolster our customer service team and ensure Scotland’s charities and other voluntary organisations are supported to thrive.
Our new Officer will contribute to the smooth running of the programme by using their organisational and communication skills to:
- Support our online and in-person events - from small webinars to The Gathering
- Respond to enquiries from charities of all shapes, sizes and purposes
- Engage with venues, speakers and other event contributors
- Upload our web listings and ensure our content is accurate
- Process and report on our customer and event data
About you
Your combination of engaging communication skills, slick organisation skills and understanding of what makes an excellent event will enable you to thrive in this role. If you’re a to-do list pro, enjoy a busy, varied workload, and love it when a plan comes together, then this could be the job for you!
How we’ll support you
You’ll be joining a knowledgeable, experienced team who are skilled in events and customer service, and generous in sharing their knowledge and helping you learn on the job. You’ll be supported directly by the Service Development Manager and Events & Learning Manager in finding your feet and prioritising your workload.
SCVO is a supportive employer, with many wellbeing support policies and a values-driven approach.
Part time hours and other flexible working options, including working from home for part of the week, will be fully considered. We encourage you to apply if you believe you meet most of the criteria in the person specification. We share our interview questions in advance.
