Role

We are seeking an experienced leader with a proven track record of income generation who can drive our fundraising and donor stewardship. 

You will be based at our main centre in Westhill with flexibility for some home working when appropriate. Our core working hours are Monday to Thursday 9-5pm and you will be required to cover occasional evening and weekend events (the charity operates a time off in lieu system).  

The role is currently 30 hours per week although there may be future scope for full time hours (FTE salary of up to £43,750).

Job overview 

The Fundraising Manager is a pivotal senior management role responsible for developing and driving fundraising strategies while building relationships with supporters and funders. You will oversee all of the charity's fundraising functions, generating sustainable income via grants, donations from corporate and individual giving and our own calendar of events. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Manage and deliver a fundraising strategy that meets and exceeds the charity's financial targets.
  • Source funding sustainably from a mix of income streams with a strategic focus on high-value opportunities to achieve organisational growth.
  • Manage the fundraising team to secure grants from private trusts & foundations and donations from corporate and individual supporters.
  • Lead fundraising campaigns and events to engage donors and supporters in raising money for the charity.
  • Manage and monitor a robust grants funding pipeline to identify and qualify opportunities, working closely with the Funding Officer to produce high quality funding proposals aligned with organisational objectives.
  • Lead the charity’s marketing functions, communications and digital presence to increase our profile and develop supporter audiences across the northeast of Scotland.

Qualifications: 

  • Minimum 3-years experience in fundraising or an income generating role.
  • Strong relationship management skills.
  • Experience of CRM tools and digital giving platforms.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to develop creative campaigns that resonate with diverse audiences.
  • Experience in managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

The successful candidate will be: 

  • Experienced in working to and exceeding revenue targets.
  • Genuinely passionate about supporting individuals with neurodivergent conditions or additional support needs.
  • Energetic, creative and enthusiastic
  • Empathetic with great interpersonal skills
  • A self-motivator who can inspire their team
  • An excellent communicator
  • Willing to work flexible hours including evening and weekends when required
