Role

At the Hawkhead centre, we provide innovative services to veterans who have various degrees of Sight Loss.

This job exists to support the Centre Services Manager/Senior and Chef to provide a safe working environment and plan a varied and nutritious diet for veterans who attend.

You will work be working in a fun and friendly environment.

What does a day in this role look like?

  • To assist in the preparation of high-quality food as directed by the chef
  • To assist with meal service
  • To assist with clearing and washing up.
  • To maintain a clean, safe working environment as directed by the Centre manager/Senior and by working to cleaning schedules
  • To ensure Food Hygiene and Health & Safety recommendations are complied with.
  • To advise the of any concerns in relation to Food Hygiene and Health & Safety
  • To advise the Chef/Senior/Deputy Centre manager of any malfunction of equipment or fittings that require maintenance or cannot be kept to standard through normal cleaning procedures.
