Role

Fife Voluntary Action is seeking a Head of Employability who will be the strategic lead for the co-ordination and collaboration of third sector employability services, and who will represent the sector strategically. You will work collaboratively with statutory and third sector partners to maximise the contribution and impact of the third sector on improving employment outcomes in Fife. 

In this role, you will:

- Represent the sector at strategic partnership meetings, specifically the Opportunities Fife Partnership (OFP) Board

- Proactively build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders at all levels to understand national and local challenges and emerging issues

- Inform, support and promote transparent commissioning of services through OFP and related funding

- Chair and lead on the Employability Forum, Third Sector Employability Conversations and OFP People and Skills Community of Practice

- Lead a team delivering on employability, lived experience and digital inclusion

We’re looking for someone with: 

- Experience of working in or with third sector employability organisations and services. 

- Excellent understanding of issues affecting the employability sector, including local and national policy

- Excellent communication and partnership skills. 

- Experience of line management
