You will be the first point of contact for visitors and callers, provide essential day to day administrative assistance to staff and management, and help ensure our office environment is welcoming, professional and well organised. This is an ideal role for someone who thrives in a busy, supportive setting where no two days are the same.

With over 50 years of experience as a Third Sector organisation, we take immense pride in our long-standing commitment to those who work for and on behalf of Scotland’s youngest children.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide general administrative support across the organisation
  • Answer telephone calls and welcome visitors professionally

  • Order and maintain office supplies, liaising with suppliers as required
  • Support organisational projects and tasks as directed

What we are looking for:

  • Experience in an administrative role
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a warm and professional manner
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and digital systems
  • A proactive, flexible and solution focused approach
  • Commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion
  • A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for supporting colleagues and volunteers

What Early Years Scotland will offer:

  • Competitive salary and generous annual leave
  • Family friendly policies that support work–life balance
  • 5% employer pension contribution after 3 months
  • Access to our Employee Assistance Programme
  • Ongoing professional learning and development opportunities
  • A supportive, collaborative team culture where your contribution is valued
  • Hybrid working options following successful probation (where appropriate to the role)
