ROLE PURPOSE:

As Treasurer you will have a key role within LAYC’s Board of Trustees. You will work with LAYC’s Director and Finance & Business Support Officer to oversee the financial affairs of the organisation and ensure they are legal, constitutional and within accepted accounting practice.

KEY DUTIES:

• Oversee the financial activities of the organisation and ensure they are legal, constitutional and within accepted accounting practice.
• Ensure proper records are kept and that effective financial procedures are in place
• Observe and report on the financial health.
• Liaise with relevant staff and trustees to ensure the financial sustainability of the organisation
• Support with presenting budgets, account reports and financial records. 
• Oversee the production of necessary financial reports/returns, accounts and audits.
• Make fellow trustees aware of their financial obligations and support in interpreting financial data.
