Role

Order of Malta Dial-a-Journey Trust is looking to recruit Minibus Drivers

We currently have vacancies for a number of minibus drivers for an immediate/early start;

Presently we have vacancies for part-time and casual drivers with days and hours to suit applicants. These may lead to full-time positions in time.

Full time - (37 hrs over 5 days)

Part-time - (up to 29.6 hours over 2, 3 or 4 days),

Part-time – school term days only

Casual Hours – (hours worked by mutual agreement)

You will be expected to hold an entitlement to drive a minibus (Category D1 (101 restriction)) on your driving licence with no more than 6 points, Possession of a category D or D1 PCV minibus will be a distinct advantage, but training to acquire D1 PCV licence entitlement may be available.

All applicants are required to undertake a PVG check (for which Dial-a-Journey will pay). Applicants must be medically fit as the work involves moving and handling wheelchairs on a regular basis.

Our customer base is wide and varied from working with adults with mobility impairments to providing schools and other education transport. The team you will work with is friendly and supportive. Most have been with Dial-a-Journey for many years and get a lot of satisfaction from seeing the difference we all make to others.

We have a pool of drivers working either full-time, or hours that suits their other needs.

Full training will be given during induction, with ongoing on the job training.
