Role

Community Volunteers Enabling You (COVEY) has operated across Lanarkshire for 32 years supporting 5,000 children, young people and parents/carers to become more resilient, safe and better equipped to reach their full potential. COVEY provides 1-1 and group-based befriending, mentoring and family support.

COVEY is seeking a passionate, professional and proactive individual to lead the planning, coordination and delivery of COVEY’s contribution to the Developing the Young Workforce (DYW) GROW Programme in Lanarkshire – designed to provide S3 and S4 pupils with meaningful work experience, industry exposure and employability skill development.

The post holder will coordinate and accompany groups of young people as they engage in meaningful employer visits, develop employability and life skills and work towards SCQF accredited qualifications (Work Aware and Work Experience Awards). They will ensure safe, high quality delivery by collaborating with schools, employers, DYW teams and transport providers while upholding COVEY’s values and safeguarding standards.

The post will be central to delivering COVEY’s growing employability and education strand, helping local young people to build skills, confidence and ambition through real-world work experience
