Role

Edinburgh North East Foodbank was set up in 2013 and operates from a warehouse and 4 distribution centres, within the Leith Area. We provide crisis support in the way of food parcels and money advice to those in the community who are facing poverty.

We rely on the support and help of volunteers without which we would not be able to operate this much needed service.

This is an exciting new role, the person will have the responsibility of supporting our current 60 volunteers, recruiting new volunteers, and developing our volunteer programme as well as taking the led on the Investing in Volunteers Award.

We are looking for someone with previous experience of leading a team of volunteers and is knowledgeable and passionate about the potential of volunteering within the charity sector.

You will have excellent communication skills suitable for a range of different audiences and environments, with experience of relationship building and volunteering management desirable.
