Role

Seal Dunfermline is a long-established charity supporting children and young people aged 8–16, and young adults up to 21 making the transition to adulthood. We provide safe, supportive group activities that build confidence, resilience, and well-being - helping young people feel valued and equipped for life.

We are seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead our small but dedicated team of staff and volunteers. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone with proven management experience in health, social care, or community settings who can combine strategic leadership with hands-on support for our staff and services. This post is funded by the National Lottery Fairer Life Chances fund.

About the Role

As Service Manager, you will:

  • Lead the planning, delivery, and development of our services, ensuring they are high-quality, sustainable, and meet community needs.
  • Provide strong leadership and supervision, supporting staff and volunteers through reflective practice and continuous learning.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key partners, including local authorities, funders, schools, and social care services.
  • Drive income generation, fundraising, and budget management to ensure financial sustainability.
  • Oversee safeguarding, compliance, and quality improvement.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has proven management experience in health, social care, or related fields.
  • Can inspire and support a team, using reflective practice to improve outcomes.
  • Understands governance, compliance, and safeguarding in a community or charity setting.
  • Has knowledge and understanding of the policy context impacting on children’s services in Scotland.
  • Has strong communication and relationship-building skills with partners, funders, and stakeholders.
  • Brings creativity, resilience, and a passion for supporting children and young people.
