Are you a qualified accountant or have senior-level financial management experience and looking to donate your expertise and time? We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Treasurer who can help champion the Dementia Trust as we embark on an exciting time in the charity’s growth and development.
With 1 in 3 people in the UK likely to develop dementia, we are looking to make a monumental impact on dementia by disrupting the narrative through funding innovative projects and programmes for those suffering with dementia as well as their carers.
The Trust is now looking to recruit a Treasurer of the Board of Trustees. The Treasurer is a key member of the Board of Trustees, responsible for both strategic oversight and certain operational aspects of the Dementia Trust’s financial affairs, ensuring they are conducted within legal requirements, good practice and in line with the charity’s objectives. The charity is undergoing a meaningful redevelopment and looking for creative, energetic and strategic thinkers who can help drive us through this period of transformation.
The Dementia Trust was formally created as a charity in 1988 in Scotland with the purpose of enhancing the quality of life for individuals living with dementia and their carers by funding innovative, impactful projects, and fostering a community of knowledge sharing and support.
