Role

[CLASSIFIED TRANSMISSION]

Your mission, should you choose to accept it: help steer the future of ProjectChange.

We’re recruiting Trustees — and one Chair — to lead strategy, strengthen governance, and ensure our vision for care experienced people is realised.

About ProjectChange

ProjectChange is a charity created by care experienced people, for care experienced people. We believe everyone should have their own voice, and the support to use it in whatever way they choose. We don’t do tokenism. We don’t do box-ticking. We do real listening, real talking, and real change.

Our Board plays a vital role in guiding our direction, challenging us to think bigger, and ensuring we stay accountable to the people and communities we work with.

The Roles

Trustee (Operative) – You’ll bring your perspective, skills, and curiosity to help shape our strategy and hold us to our values.

Chair (Mission Commander) – You’ll lead the Board, set the tempo, and work closely with our CEO to guide our vision.

You don’t need to have been a trustee before — we value lived experience, different perspectives, and a willingness to learn just as much as formal qualifications.

What’s Involved

• Around 6–8 Board meetings a year (online, with occasional in-person sessions).

• Being part of key decisions that affect the future of the organisation.

• Bringing your expertise, networks, or lived experience to the table.

• Championing our mission in your own way.

We welcome applications from across Scotland (and beyond) — meetings are held online, and reasonable expenses are covered for any in-person commitments.

Why Join Us?

Being a trustee here isn’t about filling a seat — it’s about making an actual difference.

You’ll be part of a supportive, curious, and sometimes rebellious team who are not afraid to challenge the status quo when it gets in the way of progress.
