Corseford College is seeking to appoint full-time/part-time/relief Lecturing staff to deliver high-quality curriculum programmes to students with a range of complex needs.

As a Lecturer, you will play a critical role is ensuring students' time at Corseford College is successful. You will work alongside the teaching and student support teams to ensure that all learning is personalised and delivered according to each students learning and support plan.

Corseford College is our new specialist College providing post-school education for individuals with complex additional support needs. The College is aimed at Young People who have left or are leaving school aged 18-25, enabling them to prepare for adulthood and continue their post-school learning journey.

The college is developed around eight underpinning principles:

  • High aspirations for all our students
  • Treat each student as unique, supporting them to find pathways to learn and develop as individuals
  • Provide students with a curriculum to enable them to develop their skills and successfully transition into adulthood
  • Ensure lifelong learning and education is accessible to all
  • Equip students to make choices about their lifelong learning pathway
  • Recognise and build on prior learning and achievements
  • A provision that is based on innovative and progressive teaching methods
  • Support student learning using assistive technology

Our ideal candidates will be confident, ambitious, and caring people with experience in working with young people or adults with additional support needs. The successful candidates will have an appropriate teaching qualification or working towards achieving it.

We are looking for suitably qualified subject specialists to deliver programmes of learning for Sport and Well-being, Communication, AAC, Speech & Language and Life skills subject areas.

The successful candidate will be required to achieve Lecturer registration with GTCS.
