Role

Urban Roots is a thriving community-led environmental and health improvement charity. Over the past ten years we have worked with local residents and a large team of enthusiastic volunteers to establish a network of community gardens and woodlands across the Southside of Glasgow. We also run a number of healthy cooking projects and outdoor learning and play activities for children and young people.

Urban Roots is seeking an enthusiastic and practical individual to lead weekly conservation sessions and support community engagement in Malls Mire Woodland. You'll work closely with the Site Manager, guide volunteers (including vulnerable adults), and carry out activities to support biodiversity and wellbeing. This hands-on role includes woodland maintenance, maintaining tools, managing risk, and leading occasional corporate volunteer days.

If you’re passionate about nature, people, and making a positive impact, we’d love to hear from you.
