Role

Urban Roots is a thriving community-led environmental and health improvement charity. Over the past ten years we have worked with local residents and a large team of enthusiastic volunteers to establish a network of community gardens and woodlands across the Southside of Glasgow. We also run a number of healthy cooking projects and outdoor learning and play activities for children and young people.

Urban Roots is looking for a compassionate and practical Therapeutic Support Gardener to deliver hands-on community gardening and therapeutic horticulture programmes in Toryglen. You’ll lead volunteer sessions, support individuals through green prescribing and other partnerships, and help maintain productive, welcoming gardens across our sites.

Working closely with our Gardens and Volunteer Coordinators, you’ll support learning, wellbeing, and community connection through seasonal growing, outreach, and events.

If you’re passionate about people, plants, and purpose-driven work, we’d love to hear from you.

More information about our projects can be found on our website: www.urbanroots.org.uk
