Role
Porty Community Energy are recruiting a Sea Health Project Coordinator to take forward an exciting new sea health project supported by the National Lottery Community Fund.
The project aims to promote community engagement in improving the water quality and biodiversity of the beach and marine environment in the seaside area of Portobello, Edinburgh.
Role of the Project Coordinator:
The coordinator will be the PCE lead delivering the sea health project, supported by the volunteer board of directors/trustees and other project coordinators.
They will work collaboratively with local community groups including Porty Surf Lifesaving Club (SLSC), Porty Water Collective, and other stakeholders.
They will support the development of a sea health umbrella group of organisations and individuals to work together to coordinate and support new and existing work on sea health.
They will help to build community engagement in sea health themes including enhancing biodiversity, reducing beach pollution, and future coastal resilience in the face of climate change.
They will report on project progress as set out in the job tasks to the PCE Directors and funders, attending regular meetings (both online and in person).
