Would you like to be part of something new and exciting? Do you have the skills to play a critical role in supporting the education and learning of our students? 

Corseford College is seeking to appoint a Tutor to deliver learning programmes as part of our curriculum to students.

As a Tutor, you will play a critical role is ensuring students' time at the college are successful. You will work alongside the Lecturers, Head of College and the student support team to ensure that all learning is personalised and delivered according to each students learning and support plan.

Corseford College is our specialist College providing post-school education for individuals with complex additional support needs. The College is aimed at Young People who have left or are leaving school aged 18-25, enabling them to prepare for adulthood and continue their post-school learning journey.

The college is developed around eight underpinning principles:

  • Treat each student as unique, supporting them to find pathways to learn and develop as individuals
  • Provide students with a curriculum to enable them to develop their skills and successfully transition into adulthood
  • Ensure lifelong learning and education is accessible to all
  • Equip students to make choices about their lifelong learning pathway
  • Recognise and build on prior learning and achievements
  • A provision that is based on innovative and progressive teaching methods
  • Support student learning using assistive technology
  • Our ideal candidates will be confident, ambitious, and caring people with experience in working with young people or adults with additional support needs. We are excited to hear from interested individuals from a range of backgrounds.

Tutors will be required to deliver programmes of learning around curriculum areas including but not limited to: STEM, Communication and Interpersonal skills, Health and Wellbeing, Creative Arts and Independent Living Skills.

What you need to know... 

Hours: 37 hours per week, although part time can be considered (full-time, part-time or relief hours available)

Location: Corseford College, Inchinnan, PA4 9LH
