Role

CEMVO Scotland is a national intermediary organisation and strategic partner of the Scottish Government with the aim of building the capacity of the ethnic minority third sector and its communities. 

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced social entrepreneur to provide social enterprise business development support to ethnic minority groups and individual social entrepreneurs through our “Just Enterprise” partnership contract with CEiS. You will have extensive social enterprise business development experience, with skills in helping organisations to set up social enterprises, develop business plans, marketing strategies, product research/development, financial planning and advising on legal structures / governance, etc.  

You will also have responsibility for increasing awareness of social enterprise among ethnic minority groups / communities through organising and delivering social enterprise training events. You will therefore need good organising, training and work planning skills, as well as a strong commitment to race equality and of working with ethnic minority groups / communities. 

We are a relatively small and friendly organisation with a highly flexible working environment. You will be job-sharing and so will be working with our social enterprise officer who will provide the support for you to adapt to the role.
