Role

Whitburn and District Community Development Trust (WCDT) is a community-led organisation at the heart of Whitburn, working to support local people and groups to thrive. Our mission is to create a more connected, confident, and resilient community by delivering local initiatives, encouraging volunteering, and fostering collaboration.

This role is central to delivering our Strengthening Communities Programme funded by the Scottish Government, which aims to build on the strengths of the WCDT by continuing to develop the organisation activities and empowering residents to take an active role in shaping local change. The Community Development Worker will lead on community engagement, support the development of local projects, build partnerships, and amplify the voices of residents. You will help ensure that the Trust continues to reflect the needs, priorities, and aspirations of the people it serves.
