Role
Edinburgh World Heritage is seeking an enthusiastic, collaborative, and organised individual to become our new Public Realm Projects Officer. EWH is an independent charitable company that manages and advocates for the Old and New Towns of Edinburgh World Heritage Site, distributing around £600,000 in grants each year to conserve, celebrate, and widen access to the city’s unique historic buildings and public spaces. Reporting to the Head of Conservation (Public Realm), the Public Realm Projects Officer will help deliver our innovative “Twelve Closes” project, supported through the Edinburgh Visitor Levy, alongside our wider Public Realm Programme and Small Community Grants Fund. Working closely with EWH colleagues, the City of Edinburgh Council, community groups, and other partners, the postholder will support projects that repair, conserve, enhance, and interpret the historic streets and spaces of the World Heritage Site. Responding to queries, administering grant funds, monitoring projects, collaborating with partners, and supporting community engagement are key responsibilities of the role.
