Role

Boom! Community Arts are looking to welcome a new Fundraising & Finance Lead to our small experienced team.

We are a small arts charity working primarily in the North of Glasgow. Our team currently consists of a Development & Partnerships Lead, and Marketing & Project Coordinator (both working 1 day p/w), a pool of sessional art workshop leaders, and a volunteer Board.

Expected Commitment: 1 day / 7 hours per week, worked flexibly to suit the postholder and organisation, including attending a virtual team meeting every second Friday.

Job Description:

• Leading on Boom!’s fundraising strategy, in partnership with the Board of Trustees and core admin team.
• Preparing & managing funding applications and keeping our funding tracker up to date.
• Maintaining communication with funders, including completing required paperwork and reports as required.
• Creating and monitoring project budgets where appropriate.
• In partnership with the Board Treasurer and Chair, creating and monitoring the overall organisational budget.
• Financial administration including processing of sales and purchase invoices.
• Acting as signatory of the bank account, setting up payments for approval by the Treasurer.
• Completing any reporting relevant to the role, including monitoring and reporting to the Board on organisational progress against strategic goals
• Collaborating with other contractors to contribute to the general running of the organisation.

Experience / Skills:

• Proven track record of successful trust fundraising.
• Practical experience of creating and monitoring budgets, including knowledge of basic financial systems.

Person Specification:

• Excellent communicator, including ability to present financial information to different audiences.
• Attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines.
• Self motivated and comfortable working remotely and as part of a small team.
• Commitment to the aims of the organisation.
• Interest in and understanding of local Glasgow communities, particularly in North Glasgow, including ability/willingness to attend in-person events in Glasgow.
