Senior Team Leader – Rapid Re-accommodation Welcome Centre

Role

The Rapid Re-accommodation Welcome Centre provides emergency accommodation with support to anyone who would otherwise be rough sleeping in Edinburgh.

We are looking for a Senior Team Leader to assist the Project Manager in organising and running the Welcome Centre, maintaining it as a safe environment for guests, and providing hands-on support to the team across all aspects of the service. The Senior Team Leader play an active role in monitoring RRWC systems and spreadsheets, with a goal of supporting guests onto positive follow-on accommodation.

This is a fixed-term, part-time post ending on 31 March 2027.

We are looking for candidates with the following knowledge, skills and experience:

  • Experience working with vulnerable and homeless people
  • An understanding of mental health and addiction issues
  • Ability to deal appropriately with challenging behaviour
  • An SVQ level 3 in Care/Promoting Independence or equivalent is desirable
  • Administrative skills and experience in the use of Microsoft Office packages, especially Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility to respond to a changing environment
  • Ability to maintain clear & accurate records

Successful applicants for this post will require membership in the PVG scheme.
