Role

With the retirement of one of our Energy Advisors, Community Links Scotland is looking for a proactive, enthusiastic individual to help deliver our West Dunbartonshire Energy Advice project. Funded through the Energy Industry Voluntary Redress Scheme this programme supports local people who are in fuel crises by providing direct practical help and advocacy to vulnerable households.

We are looking for an individual who has experience in providing energy advice and advocacy to households.

CLS is a small organisation with a dedicated staff team of seven. We have an excellent reputation in developing and delivering projects within West Dunbartonshire and across the West of Scotland. While we are based in Clydebank, we operate very flexibly, with staff working across a number of venues – Community Hubs, Clients Offices, home and office – we anticipate that this post will work within all of these venues and will also undertake a number of home visits, as these are essential to the delivery of the project.

The West Dunbartonshire Energy Advice Project currently has three staff members: A part-time Project Lead (2 days/ week) and two Energy Advisors.

An overview of CLS and the project, together with the job description and person specification is included within our Application Pack.

Application notes

If you are interested in applying for our Energy Advisor role, please submit your CV and a detailed covering letter that clearly outlines why you are applying for the role and how your skills and experience match the person specification.

These should be sent to: info@comlinks.org.uk

If you would like an informal chat about the post, please contact Jim on: 0141 952 4382. Or e-mail jim@comlinks.org.uk

Closing date: 12 noon Wednesday 22nd July 2026

Interview date: w/c 5th August 2026
