Community Fundraiser
ACCORD Hospice
Full time
Hybrid: Paisley
£30,000
37.5 hours per week
Closing 7 June 2026
Advertised from 19 May 2026

Role

ACCORD Hospice provides specialist palliative and end-of-life care to people living with life-limiting illnesses across Renfrewshire and parts of East Renfrewshire. Supporting patients and families both within the hospice and in the community, ACCORD is dedicated to ensuring people receive compassionate, high-quality care when they need it most. The hospice relies heavily on the generosity of supporters, volunteers, businesses, and the wider community to continue delivering its vital services free of charge.

ACCORD Hospice is now seeking a Community Fundraiser to join its Fundraising and Communications team. This is a rewarding community-facing role focused on building meaningful relationships with supporters, growing fundraising income, and raising awareness of the hospice and its work throughout the local community.

The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and strengthening relationships with new and existing supporters, ensuring individuals, groups, schools, and businesses receive an exceptional level of support and engagement. The role will focus on identifying and securing new community fundraising opportunities, supporting existing fundraising activity, and helping to deliver ambitious income growth targets across community and corporate fundraising streams.

A key aspect of the role will involve engaging with local businesses, schools, clubs, associations, volunteers, and community groups to inspire support for ACCORD Hospice’s mission. You will deliver talks and presentations, attend fundraising events and cheque presentations, support third-party fundraisers, and help build long-term relationships that encourage ongoing support and community involvement.

Working closely with the Fundraising and Communications Manager and wider team, you will also contribute to fundraising campaigns, supporter stewardship, volunteer engagement, and awareness-raising activity. The role includes maintaining accurate supporter records using Raiser’s Edge NXT, responding to donor enquiries with warmth and professionalism, and ensuring all supporters receive timely acknowledgement and excellent care throughout their fundraising journey.

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, organised, and personable individual with strong relationship-building and communication skills. You may already have experience within fundraising or be able to demonstrate transferable skills from a customer-facing, community engagement, sales, or relationship management background. You will be confident managing multiple priorities, engaging with a wide range of audiences, and working both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about community engagement and motivated by making a genuine difference to the lives of patients and families supported by ACCORD Hospice.
