Role
Crossbasket House provides accommodation and support for families with seriously ill children receiving care in the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow and other hospitals in the West of Scotland. Many need emergency treatment and can end up very far from home for weeks, months or even years at a time. We help keep families together by providing free, high-quality accommodation, only a few minutes’ walk from the hospital.
The role of Bereavement Support Practitioner is responsible for providing support to individuals, couples, siblings and families who are experiencing grief due to the death of a baby, child or young person, following treatment and care within the maternity, neonatal and paediatric sites across NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC). The role will also provide support to professionals whose role is aAected by the death of a child.
