Role
The Hynish Trust is recruiting a Sustainability Development Officer to strengthen organisational resilience and environmental practice as part of Lighting Up the Hynish Shore Station — a two‑year programme celebrating the Skerryvore Lighthouse and its future potential. You’ll work closely with a new Heritage Preservation Officer to deliver integrated sustainability and heritage outcomes for the Hynish estate and wider community.
Role Overview
- Deliver a 3‑Year Sustainability Plan
- Lead budgets, policy reviews and governance improvements
- Develop the Trust’s Environmental Plan
- Support income‑generation for the Hynish estate
- Lead and manage funding applications, monitoring and evaluation
You’ll Need
- Experience in project development and income generation
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- A desire to contribute to a rural island community
- A full driving licence
Hybrid working is available, but time on Tiree is essential. On‑site accommodation may be possible.
