About Equally Safe Falkirk
To provide strength-based group support to child and adult survivors of Domestic Abuse. Rasing awareness of Domestic abuse, build group capacity within the community to build survivors confidence, self-esteem and empower them to advocate for their family’s needs.
To provide a needs-led service, specialising in domestic abuse advocacy and parenting to improve outcomes for children and their families.
What we are looking for....
We are looking for a Support Worker, working 35 hours per week. The post holder will work in collaboration with Education Services and community groups, delivering programmes, raising awareness and educating young people around the impact of domestic abuse and gender-based violence. This post requires a person centred, trauma informed approach, offering holistic whole family support to children, young people and adults who have/are experiencing domestic abuse.
As this post includes an unsocial hours allowance, you are required to be flexible with your approach and available to work weekends, evenings and public holiday to meet the needs of the families you would support. This post is funded by Falkirk Council as part of the Whole Family Wellbeing, initially until 31st August 2026.
You will have relevant experience and a sound knowledge of domestic abuse and the impact on the children and adult survivor and relevant theory in attachment and parenting. You should be able to demonstrate an understanding and commitment to women and children’s rights. You will hold a relevant professional qualification at SCQF level 7 or above.
