About Inverclyde Intensive Family Support Service 

This is a family outreach service, working alongside families, communities, and partners, offering caring and responsive support to children, young people and families. Aberlour Inverclyde Intensive Family Support Service delivers the support families need, when they need it, every day of the year. The aim of the service is to ensure that children and young people can continue to flourish at home, at school and in their local community.

Working with Social Work Services, this innovative and creative service focuses on supporting vulnerable and/or care experienced children and young people aged 0 – 25 years in a variety of settings including in their families’ homes, foster carers, kinship carers and residential settings to help them thrive in their homes, schools and local communities. 

Our service works with children, young people and their families to enhance relationships, build on existing strengths and interests, help build confidence and encourage new community connections. Our aim is to help all families feel safe, confident, capable, and included. Our approach has been developed through consultation with families and partners.

What we are looking for.... 

As Service Manager your role is to lead, manage and develop our Aberlour Inverclyde Intensive Family Support Service to support children and families in line with planned objectives. We are looking for someone who can provide direction and support for the staff team enabling them to achieve excellent results and manage change in an ever-changing work environment. You will be key in providing the external face of the services to a range of external partners with the aim of influencing service provision to meet the needs of parents, families, children and young people.  

You will also be responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of the service budgets.

We are looking for Service Manager who has with at least a relevant qualification or relevant experience of leading and delivering an intensive family support service with extensive experience of responding to complex child protection and safeguarding concerns. 

You will be passionate about supporting children, young people, families, and communities by being flexible in your approach and share our vision of collaborative working through relationship and strength based intensive family support. 

This post will include working early mornings, evenings and weekends including working as part of an on-call management rota. 

You will work within a variety of locations throughout Inverclyde, and you will be co-located with statutory partners and other third sector partners.
