Role

Established in 2004, Break the Silence is a registered charity which makes a profound and positive difference in the lives of those affected by childhood sexual trauma. We deliver professional counselling, supporting people of all genders, age 13+ resident in East and North Ayrshire.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Team with the introduction of a new part-time Development Officer role on a fixed term contract for 12m having secured funding through the National Lottery Strengthening Organisations fund.

We seek a dynamic, motivated Development Officer to support and lead on the organisation’s sustainability and growth initiatives over the next 12months. The role involves planning, coordinating and management of specific project work in consultation with CEOs, and will include leading our efforts to achieve and maintain relevant organisational accreditations/certifications in addition to marketing, communication.  

Salary and Benefits – £24,548pa based on 3days/week (£22.48/hr - 21 hrs/wk). Hours/days of work can be flexible. Working from home with some office-based meetings as required. 30 days holidays pro-rata per annum including public holidays, pension scheme, employee assistance programme and staff wellbeing sessions.

The role is a funded position for 12m. The successful applicant will be required to undertake disclosure check due to the nature of our work. All roles at Break the Silence are subject to a 3 month probationary period.
