Role
Poverty and inequality are the greatest challenges Scotland faces. The Poverty Alliance is building our network across civil society to challenge, and ultimately solve, poverty. An opportunity has arisen to join our management team that will play a key role in helping us achieve our vision of a Scotland without poverty:
A vacancy has arisen for an experienced individual to lead the Poverty Alliance’s Policy and Campaigns Team. The role will lead in the development, and oversee the implementation, of our policy and campaign positions across a range of social policy areas. It will also lead the coordination of our communications activity. The role will work closely with our network of members across civil society as well as with politicians and policy makers at all levels in Scotland.
The right person for this job will have a commitment to tackling poverty and promoting social change alongside practical knowledge about making change happen. You will have significant experience in a policy, public affairs or campaigning background. You’ll also have experience of developing the relationships and networks to influence policy at the local or national level in Scotland. And you’ll be someone who can lead and manage a small team working to deliver real change.
