Role
Are you a compassionate and reflective clinical leader looking for a role where your values, experience and care can truly make a difference?
About Wellspring Scotland
Wellspring Scotland is a well-established charity based in Edinburgh, providing around 10,000 affordable, high-quality counselling and psychotherapy sessions to individuals and organisations each year. This is an exciting time of change and development at Wellspring as we continue to strengthen our clinical services and nurture the wellbeing of our local communities and beyond. We’re looking for a compassionate and experienced Clinical Manager to join our leadership team and help shape the next chapter of our story.
About the Role
As Clinical Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting our team of therapists, maintaining the highest clinical standards and ensuring that Wellspring continues to provide a safe, ethical and supportive environment for clients and practitioners alike.
You’ll oversee clinical governance, manage referrals, support training and supervision and contribute to the ongoing development of our therapeutic services. Working closely with the Chief Operating Officer, you’ll also have the opportunity to influence service development, policy and innovation across the organisation.
This role would suit a reflective and relational leader who enjoys working collaboratively and who brings warmth, clarity and a steady presence to a busy, values-driven environment.
What We’re Looking For
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
- A recognised qualification in Counselling or Psychotherapy (minimum Level 4 Diploma, ideally MSc/MA/PGDip).
- Accreditation with BACP, UKCP, COSCA or BABCP.
- Experience in clinical supervision (qualification or equivalent experience).
- A strong understanding of ethical and safe practice, with experience supporting therapists or managing clinical services.
- A collaborative, compassionate approach and a genuine commitment to Wellspring’s ethos.
- It would also be great if you have experience working within the third sector, or in service development, safeguarding, or trauma-informed practice.
What We Offer
- A pension scheme, annual leave and sick pay cover
- A genuinely supportive and reflective environment, where staff wellbeing is valued as highly as client care
- Ongoing professional development and training opportunities
- The joy of working alongside a wonderful cohort of counsellors and psychotherapists from a wide range of modalities, including talking therapies, art, movement, music, and body-based psychotherapy
- A beautiful, calm Georgian building just off Leith Walk, filled with natural light, thoughtful energy and a sense of peace
Wellspring is a place where people, practice and purpose come together and where you can bring your whole self to the work, knowing it will be valued.
