Role
Carntyne and Cranhill Parish Church are looking for a Development Worker to continue our engagement with those in the community who feel and are affected by social isolation, in particular our older people in the community.
Our outreach in this area includes offering at the church ‘Young at Heart’ centred activities that include lunch clubs, gentle exercise groups, film clubs and prayers on line.
We are looking for someone with experience in working with older people who will be able to help us develop this work so that those in the community will feel more connected to the church; have a great awareness of what services are available to them in the community and ultimately feel less socially isolated by accessing the older peoples’ programme of activities.
It is essential you have the right to work in the UK before applying to work with us. You will be asked to provide proof of your eligibility to work and remain in the UK if you are invited to attend for an interview.
