Join our team as a Finance Assistant! 

Cairn is seeking a dedicated Finance Assistant (12month fixed term contract) to join our finance team. Reporting to the Finance Business Partner, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering key functions that support the Finance Department’s objectives and KPIs. This role offers a great opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team and gain valuable experience in a fast-paced finance environment.  

Key Responsibilities: 

Maintain the Sales Ledger debtors monthly and highlight any issues in line with financial standards and KPI’s 

  • Raise invoices in relation to Rechargeable Repairs 
  • Daily bank postings and monthly reconciliations of all Cairn bank accounts  
  • Daily reconciliations for AllPay control and rent suspense accounts  
  • Rent control reconciliations  
  • Manage the prepaid cards portal, posting of all transactions and monthly reconciliations 
  • Reconcile supplier statements and deal with any supplier queries  
  • Suggest and implement streamlining and improvement initiatives for the finance team 
  • Provide cover during holiday/sick leave for other Finance Assistants to ensure there is no break in services provided during absences, planned or otherwise. 

Requirements: 

  • HNC in accounting or at least 2 years relevant experience. 
  • Good working knowledge of IT applications, Excel and Microsoft Office in particular 
  • Able to follow policies and procedures 
  • A Basic Disclosure is required for this role 
  • Additional Requirements: may be required to travel to other offices
