"Are you an enthusiastic leader, passionate about social enterprise? We are seeking a full-time CEO to guide our professional, self-motivated team in Inverness. Our services are critical to the development of social enterprises, SMEs, entrepreneurs, and community groups throughout the Highlands and Islands. This role provides an opportunity to build on our great reputation and help shape the future of the social enterprise ecosystem in Scotland. You’ll need to be strategic and hands-on, acting as our key voice in discussions with partners, collaborators, and the Scottish Government.

Salary: £50,000 per annum 

Pension: Membership of The People’s Pension, with an employer contribution of 8%.

Annual leave: 35 days holiday entitlement 

Duration: This is a permanent post and is subject to an initial 6-month probationary period.

Location: Impact Hub Inverness, Castle Street, Inverness, with travel to meetings in the Highlands and Islands and occasional trips to the Central Belt. 

Main Purpose: To lead the operation and development of Impact Hub Inverness in such a way as to maintain and increase its influence, impact and sustainability. 

Main Tasks: 

• Lead the overall management and development of the company 

• Secure and maintain assets and revenue to ensure the company’s long-term viability and impact, including management of properties in Castle Street and Academy Street 

• Promote and represent the company at a senior level, building and maintaining effective partnerships and influencing government policy 

• Lead, support and develop staff in such a way as to bring out their full potential while ensuring their wellbeing 

• Lead the business development of the organisation, identifying new revenue streams, partnerships and business opportunities 

• Direct the effective implementation of all the company’s work programmes, including operational project delivery alongside team members 

• Ensure high diligence in financial management, budgeting and reporting 

• Provide support and high-quality advice to the board 

• Ensure all statutory and other legal obligations are fully met 

• Maintain high standards in governance procedures 

• Undertake other tasks which from time to time may be required by the board to ensure the success of the company
