Role

Do you want to help create lasting, generational change for young people and families in Angus?

We are looking for a passionate and skilled Development Worker to join the Planet Youth movement, an evidence-based prevention approach that started in Iceland and is now growing across Scotland.

In this role, you will:

  • Bring together local communities, families, and schools to act on young people’s voices.
  • Lead workshops, engagement sessions, and events to share insights from survey data.
  • Help co-design action plans that address key challenges and support children’s wellbeing.

Employed by charity Winning Scotland, and working closely with Angus Council, NHS, and community partners, this role is all about connection and influence. You will be sharing insights from local survey data, helping partners understand what young people need, and supporting communities to co-create positive, practical solutions.

Some weeks you’ll be leading workshops or parent engagement sessions; other weeks you might be writing case studies, building relationships, or planning events.

We are particularly keen to hear from applicants with strong knowledge and connections to Angus, especially Forfar and Kirriemuir.

Please see recruitment pack for further details on responsibilities and person specification.
