The Role

As the Schools & Community Fundraising Manager, you will maximise income generation from school, allocated challenge events, community fundraising and third party support in alignment with the Income Generation Strategy and annual targets. This role will lead the Schools and Community Fundraising Team, while maintaining the highest professional standards and regulatory compliance. 

You will:

  • Be the face of St Andrew’s Hospice within the Schools and Community Fundraising sector and be responsible for nurturing and growing relationships with new and existing Schools, Challenge events and Community Fundraising supporters.
  • Be responsible for working as part of the Senior Fundraising Leadership team to meet the organisation’s income targets. 
  • Work with the Schools and Community Team to organise and develop all allocated schools, challenge events, and third party business fundraising activity, and manage these within agreed levels of expenditure. 
  • Have line management responsibility for the Schools and Community Team and volunteers. 
  • Develop and nurture relationships with schools, event sponsors, participants and third party supporters, to encourage support for St Andrew’s Hospice. 
  • Represent the Hospice at fundraising events, deliver impactful presentations, and ensure donor stewardship is handled with care, adhering to best practices and Fundraising Regulation guidelines. 
  • Support the work of the wider Fundraising department with other fundraising duties or initiatives as required.

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience of delivering six figures or more of income related targets. 
  • Experience of delivering financially successful and well-planned events to maximise income for St Andrew’s Hospice. 
  • Experience and knowledge of working within schools, community fundraising or challenge events to secure support and develop their supporter journey. 
  • Proven experience of working within local communities to generate income and support. Experience of working with Schools, Community Fundraising supporters & event participants to secure Fundraising support. 
  • Experience of managing a team and ensuring the highest level of performance is achieved. 
  • Experience of Health and Safety in relation to full event planning and supervising team liaison with external license providers and related providers.
