Role
Could you be part of something different? We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to use their gifts, skills and experience to make a difference to the lives of the people in our parishes and communities.
Broughty Ferry Parish Church is home to a wide range of community groups and organisations who use its facilities: many of these are not connected to the life of the church beyond the building use. This post aims to bridge that gap, developing and establishing strong relationships with these groups along with working to seek ways to collaborate in initiatives which allow us to deliver our mission in serving the needs of the local community.
The postholder will help the church become more outward looking, nurturing connections, raising awareness of what the church can offer and helping people to see it as a place of fellowship and support.
The successful candidate will have experience in working with a wide range of church and community groups particularly in outreach. With a strong understanding of mission and how to work this through at a group and individual level and translate that into events and activities.
The successful candidate will be a committed Christian with an active Church connection (Genuine Occupational Requirement in terms of the Equality Act 2010).
