Role
Alzheimer Scotland is Scotland’s national dementia charity. Our aim is to make sure nobody faces dementia alone. We provide support and information for people living with dementia, their carers and families, campaign for the rights of people with dementia, fund vital dementia research and support people to better understand and maintain their own brain health.
What you’ll do
As a result of exciting growth within the team, a great opportunity is newly available at Alzheimer Scotland, supporting our Fundraising & Engagement team in raising vital funds to make sure that nobody faces dementia alone.
This role can be based in either of our city centre offices in Glasgow or Edinburgh with a minimum of four days in the office to ensure we give our supporters the best service. There will be regular travel to the office in which you’re not based plus very occasional travel to other locations, as required by the organisation.
You and your team will play a vital role in our supporter care for, among others, our third-party event participants, volunteers and community fundraisers, ensuring we have supportive and efficient processes to deliver the information and advice to enable our supporters to have a fruitful and enjoyable experience with Alzheimer Scotland. You and your team will often be their first point of contact so you’ll need to be passionate about providing first-class care to our supporters in an empathetic and enthusiastic way.
What you’ll have
The successful candidate will have experience in supporter journeys, a commitment to continuous improvement and a collaborative nature.
Aligned to the charity ethos, you must have a positive attitude towards dementia.
Your team will be responsible for a high volume of enquiries so organisational skills and attention to detail are paramount. This role has an overview of all the supporter care processes and will develop these as required so we are looking for someone with plenty of initiative and innovation.
