Make a Practical Impact Where Enterprise Meets Community

We’re looking for a hands-on, commercially aware Operations Manager to take charge of the day-to-day running of Silverburn Park—a vibrant 27-acre coastal destination in Leven, Fife. This is a practical, people-focused role where you’ll be rolling up your sleeves to lead a small team, manage facilities, and keep things running smoothly across a growing set of community-driven enterprises.

You’ll be responsible for overseeing:

  • An award winning campsite
  • A busy café (The Cottage Window)
  • A productive walled garden and estate
  • Seasonal events and activities 

Every task you complete helps generate income that supports mental health, volunteering, and sustainability initiatives.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Keep operations running efficiently across all areas of the park
  • Manage rotas, stock, bookings, and customer service
  • Support and supervise staff and volunteers
  • Monitor budgets and income targets, and report on performance
  • Ensure health & safety, safeguarding, and compliance are up to standard
  • Work with partners and the community to deliver events and activities

What We’re Looking For

Someone who is:

  • Commercially minded with experience in hospitality, tourism, or enterprise
  • Practical and organised, with a focus on getting things done
  • A confident team leader who supports and motivates others
  • Comfortable with systems, reporting, and using data to improve performance
  • Passionate about community impact and sustainability

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Experience managing commercial operations with financial targets
  • Strong people management and customer service skills
  • Confident using digital tools and reporting systems
  • Knowledge of H&S, safeguarding, and regulated environments
  • Full UK driving licence
